About
This meeting will build on the work of several meetings and conferences held in 2013 to discuss new drafts of the Criminal, Criminal Procedure and Criminal Executive Codes of Kazakhstan. It will gather high-level representatives from Parliament, the Presidential Administration, the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Ministry of Justice, the Ombudsman Office, as well as leading legal scientists and practitioners in the country. The participants will discuss recent versions of drafts, summarize the most challenging and arguable aspects of current legal reform and draft a set of recommendations to be further used by the Parliament’s draft codes working groups.
