About
The participants of the roundtable will identify existing challenges that Kazakh-language journalism faculties face and ways that new media tools can help develop education in the industry. The organizers of the event will present Kazakh-language translation of parts of the UNESCO Model Curricula for Journalism Education and foster a discussion on their application in universities throughout the country.
The roundtable will gather representatives of academia from the regions of Kazakhstan, mass media, NGOs and international organizations. The event will be followed by a two-day training seminar for lecturers of journalism faculties focusing on multimedia skills in education.
