About

Some 10 cynology officers from different law enforcement agencies of Kazakhstan will attend a three-week advanced course on best international practices for explosives detection with the help of trained dogs.

The officers will be trained to use canines in preventing and countering transnational crime.

Conducted by the Head of the Canine Centre at the Austrian Federal Ministry of Interior, this course will help Kazakhstan’s officers to enhance their knowledge and skills on how to effectively use trained dogs in the detection of explosives.

The course is part of the Centre’s multi-year activities to enhance Kazakhstan’s abilities to counter transnational organized crime.
