About
This study visit is being organized upon request of Kazakhstan's Ministry of Healthcare and Social Development, and the Interior Ministry.
Participants will include high-level government officials, parliamentarians and civil society representatives from Kazakhstan.
The visit will familiarize the participants with the Serbian experience of establishing an institutional framework and legislative regulations for the National Referral Mechanism for victims of human trafficking and its practical implementation at different levels.
The programme will consist of meetings with members of parliament of Serbia, relevant officials of ministries and state agencies dealing with countering trafficking in human beings and a site visit to a shelter for trafficked persons in Belgrade.
