About
The annual student forum, marking the International Human Rights Day, aims at raising awareness among students of international human rights standards, as well as modern approaches and legal instruments in countering terrorism and violent extremism. The forum will gather students from various universities of Kazakhstan and will consist of three parts: an expert panel discussion, an international essay competition, and a national debate tournament among law students. It will help strengthen students’ critical thinking and literacy, in particular, to enhance the abilities to comprehend current trends and challenges linked to terrorist threats, use the Internet safely, to detect risks and reject violent extremism narratives.
