About
The OSCE Programme Office in Astana in partnership with the National Economy Ministry and the Legislation Institute of the Justice Ministry will hold a workshop on the topic of self-governance for some 60 representatives from the central and regional administrations as well as akims (mayors) from small cities and rural districts of the Western Kazakhstan, Mangistau, Atyrau and Aktobe regions.
The participants will discuss the implementation of local self-governance reform and exchange opinions on the ways to further develop legal and institutional framework in the field. The event is part of the Office’s activities to promote good governance and democratization in Kazakhstan.
