About
The forum will focus on the major outcomes of criminal justice reform related to defence lawyers and fair trial standards. Participants will discuss the issues pertaining to current status of lawyers in civil and criminal procedures in Kazakhstan vis-à-vis international standards of the legal profession, the principle of equality of arms and representation in the court, as well as access of citizens to qualified legal assistance.
