About
The seminar will promote the implementation of international treaties and agreements in the field of arms control in Central Asia, increase understanding and raise the role of Confidence- and Security-Building Measures, while taking into account contemporary developments and promote military co-operation between OSCE participating States in Central Asia. The seminar will feature panel discussions with military representatives and experts from Central Asian and European countries. Topics for discussion will include the rationale of the Vienna Document 2011 as a confidence- and security-building measure, its structure and how it works, shortcomings and achievements in CSBM implementation. Participants will also have a simulated inspection visit to the 610 air base near Karagandy city.
