About
This roundtable meeting will discuss a draft law on fighting corruption and ways to harmonize Kazakhstan’s legislation with the standards set by the United Nations Convention against Corruption and other international documents ratified by Kazakhstan. It will also touch upon issues of criminal liability and punishment for corruption crimes, and the correlation of existing provisions with newly drafted legislation.
It will bring together representatives of various government institutions, non-governmental organizations and academics. OSCE experts will present the results of legislative assessments with a view to taking forward the implementation of international commitments by Kazakhstan.
