About

This international roundtable workshop will address the implementation of the Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) principles in Kazakhstan’s Aral Sea Syrdariya River Basin. It will also develop specific recommendations for trans-boundary IWRM in Central Asia and help elaborate priority areas for pilot green economy projects in the Kyzylorda region.

Representatives of ministries and local authorities, business communities, academia, international and non-governmental organizations will participate in the workshop.

The event is part of a series of seminars on the green economy in different regions of Kazakhstan organized by the OSCE Centre in Astana in co-operation with the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Water Resources and the United Nations Development Program Office in Kazakhstan.
