This meeting will publicly discuss and promote the recommendations contained in the 2012 Annual National Report on the human rights situation, as well as Special National Report on Migrants’ Rights in Kazakhstan, prepared by the National Human Rights Commission with the support of the OSCE Centre in Astana, the British Embassy and the International Organization for Migration. The meeting will gather representatives of local authorities, academicians, civil society activists and legal practitioners.
This is the first event of this kind to be held in the regions of Kazakhstan in support of the two national reports. It will help disseminate information and promote human rights.
