About
The training-seminar to be held in Aktobe for local akims on legal and financial mechanisms of local self-governance as well as on the involvement of local citizens to participate in the decision-making process. The trainees will be presented a printed version of a guide for rural and small town mayors, developed by OSCE-supported national experts.
The training-seminar is the first in a series of five events planned this year. The other four training seminars will be organized in the Mangistau, East Kazakhstan, North Kazakhstan and Aqmola regions and will result in elaboration of a set of recommendations for further improvement of local self-governance legislation. The events fall in the scope of the Centre’s activities aiming at promotion of good governance and democratization in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
