About
The training-seminar to be held in Semey for mayors of rural and small town municipalities on three major aspects of local self-governance - legal framework and mechanisms; financial and economic framework and tools; ways and means to enhance the involvement of local citizens in the decision making and development processes. The trainees will be presented a printed version of a guide for rural and small town mayors, developed by OSCE-supported national experts.
The training-seminar is part of a series of five events planned this year and it follows Centre’s activities in supporting Kazakhstan in promoting good governance and democratization.
