About

This roundtable meeting initiated by the Legal Council of National Democratic Party Nur Otan is aimed to discuss three draft laws - on access to information, public control and counteractions against corruption.

Participants will discuss ways of how to improve national anti-corruption legislation, to advance political accountability and to develop effective access to information policies. They also will analyse the package of laws in the context of relevant OECD and OSCE/ODIHR recommendations.

The roundtable discussion will gather parliamentarians, government officials, representatives of non-governmental organizations, journalists, national legal and economy consultants, and international experts from Latvia, the Russian Federation and Ukraine.

The event is part of the Office’s activities in providing expert support to the government and civil society of host country in developing draft legislation.
