About
This two-day roundtable aims to discuss the issues of criminal justice modernization and implementation of major legal novelties introduced by the new Criminal Procedure Code. The meeting will focus on such topical issues as efficiency of the criminal process, simplification of pre-trial procedures, improvement of forensic enquiry and mechanisms to ensure a fair trial, juvenile justice development as well as the role of new legal institutions in criminal proceedings.
The event will bring together high-level government officials, parliamentarians, representatives of non-governmental organizations and academia, defence lawyers, local and international experts from Germany, Armenia and Latvia.
