About

This international roundtable discussion entitled “Legislative regulation of freedom of speech” aims to analyze the dynamics of development of Kazakhstan's media legislation and to make recommendations for drawing a "road map" for its further improvement in accordance with international democratic standards of freedom of speech. The conference will bring together experts from the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media, the Russian Federation, the Global Campaign for Free Expression "Article 19" as well as representatives of national government agencies, non-governmental organizations and journalists.

The event is a part of Office’s activities in the field of media freedom and access to information.
