About
The summer school for young leaders from the Central Asian region and Afghanistan will take place at the Kazakh-German University with a specific focus on the introduction of scientific concepts in water governance as well as on the methods and tools for the analysis and monitoring of water resources. The OSCE Programme Office will deliver a presentation on the main activities of the organization in the region and address the students on the challenges in water governance by holding a training exercise on the topic of conflict prevention in transboundary water management context.
The event is a follow-up of the Office's earlier activities aimed at promoting sustainable water governance and the project goes in line with the priorities of the Swiss and Serbian OSCE Chairmanships in 2014 and 2015 on sustainable water governance.
