About
This training seminar will be organized for the representatives of the Balkhash-Alakol water basin council to promote integrated water resources management at the basin level. The event includes a regular meeting of the basin council and a subsequent training event on water allocation and water demand management. During the training portion of the event, participants will examine the mechanisms for improved water resources management in the river basin and foster public participation in decision making.
The training is part of the Programme Office's longstanding efforts to strengthen water governance and to support the political commitment for water governance reforms.
