About
The summer school programme on innovative methods and tools for the analysis and monitoring of water and land resources in Central Asia will have its concluding session in Almaty on 16 June. The event will involve over 20 youth representatives from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Afghanistan. It combines theoretical lectures and practical exercises with an in-depth introduction to geographical information systems, an overview on remote sensing applications and site visits for practical exercises.
This event is part of the Office’s long-standing efforts to promote regional co-operation in water resources management and aims to foster the increased participation of youth in decision-making processes.
