About
The three-day workshop on border check ethics and public service standards will bring together a total of 20 border guards and customs officers from five Central Asian countries (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan). The international experts from Latvia will present EU best practices in the field of border control and cooperation mechanisms between agencies involved in ensuring the border checks. The participants will also learn the use of modern techniques and international standards in border checks.
The event is part of Office’s activities aimed to enhance the host country’s border security and management and promote integrated border security management, while countering transnational threats.
