About
This meeting will bring together more than 70 representatives from a grassroots environmental network which unites 80 NGOs in Kazakhstan.
National and international experts will exchange experience and good practices and discuss how civil society can do more to address environmental challenges through promoting the green economy, low-carbon development, the use of renewable energy and efficient water management. The participants will also review ongoing initiatives, like the implementation of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative, the Aarhus Convention, the Protocol on Pollutant Release and Transfer Registers, and the activities of the national Aarhus Centers network.
