About
The OSCE Programme Office in Astana will support aroundtable discussion and workshop on promoting rural women’s entrepreneurship in Shymkent, South Kazakhstan Region. Some 50 parliamentarians, representatives of the Shymkent local administration, the regional institutions of business development and civil society will attend the event. The discussion will be followed by a training workshop targeted to build the capacity of the women entrepreneurs from the remote regions of South Kazakhstan Region on financial literacy and business leadership skills.
The event is part of the Office’s longstanding efforts to promote gender mainstreaming and economic empowerment of women in the host country.
