About

The OSCE Programme Office in close partnership with the Parliament of Kazakhstan, the Executive Board of the International Foundation for Aral Sea (IFAS) is co-organizing a roundtable discussion with a focus on sustainable water management in the Republic of Kazakhstan.  The event is designed to promote advanced national framework in the water governance sector by introducing internationally sound education standards. 

Some 30 deputies from the Agrarian and Natural Resources Committee of the Parliament of Kazakhstan, national water authorities and experts will discuss the current situation and associated challenges in the water education sector and propose specific measures for improvements.

The event is built on earlier implemented activities of the Programme Office’s in the area of water security and integrated water resources management (IWRM). It also aims to increase awareness and capacity of the representatives of the Parliament on available best practices and know-how in the water governance sector.
