About
The OSCE Programme Office in Astana will support a roundtable discussion on effective implementation of the Aarhus Convention with the involvement of some 30 representatives of the government entities, Aarhus centres and environmental NGOs. The participants will discuss the ways of proper planning and effective implementation of the Aarhus Convention pillars that involve a right to access to information, public participation in the decision-making and access to justice in environmental matters. The event is expected to result in the finalization of the Aarhus Centres operation plan, which will enhance and streamline centre’s work and provide guidance for strategic orientation.
The event is part of the Programme Office’s longstanding efforts in promoting the Aarhus Convention in Kazakhstan.
