About
The OSCE Programme Office in Astana will support a five-day training seminar for some 25 representatives of the National Bureau of Anti-Corruption Agency and Economic Investigation Service from across Kazakhstan. The participants will discuss enhancing communication between the law-enforcement agencies and media, peculiarities of the law-enforcement press-services outreach and ways to promote open channels of communication based on particular cases from journalist perspective. The participants will learn on how to professionally report on sensitive and timely cases, prepare for public interviews and press-conferences, deal with fear of public presentations and methods to handle conflict situations.
The event will include information on the use of new media tools, social networks and fact-checking as well as practical exercise on proper drafting of press releases and press-briefings and interviewing with the use of video shooting. The seminar will be held in Russian and Kazakh languages.
The event is part of the OSCE Programme Office’s long-standing efforts to enhance cooperation between the law-enforcement agencies and media.
